*First sign of a real contest in 20 years and they are panicking*

Abso-fuckin-lutely spot on, that man!

Oxford Dictionary: 'panicking' - Shitting one's pants, when things do not go to plan, or when one must get out of one's comfort zone to get a result...

Hahahahahahahahaha!

Let them go and rot in an uncompetitivel shit boring league. The Asian, Yabk and Arab fans who this is aimed at know fuck all about football or whaylt made it such a big atteaction to them in the first place. Fuck them all and have nothing to do with any of these cunts!
Makes me fucking sick, it's our fucking game and it is the fans that make it worth watching not the cunty mercenary players or the so called big clubs.

Last season he was also asked to predict the score in the Hull v (I can't remember) and said... "who cares".

I was listening to the broadcast live and was screaming at the radio, the guy is a complete know-nothing, loud mouthed fuckwit. Constantly name dropping and trying to justify his existence. He refers to himself as 'the last button on the shirt' whatever the fuck that is supposed to mean.

During the interview he also kept referring to the PSV v Ghent Champions League game saying was that really what UEFA had in mind when they started the Champions League. Wanker.

Nothing like tennis... tennis is ONE person who through injury or personal reasons has been 'successful in the matches he/she has played but does not have the requisite match time etc for qualification i.e. extrapolation of his form says he would qualify otherwise ergo etc etc.

Football is a TEAM game, with a SQUAD. You and your colleagues have ample opportunity to qualify the same as everybody else (in fact the big 5 have stronger squads and therefore should ride out any difficulties better than the 'smaller' clubs like Leicester, Tottenham etc).

This is about MONEY; first off, we had the big clubs and their arse lick pundits saying "It'll be fine"; then it was "Ah, just a hiccup, we'll be up there in a few games..."; then it was "It's the manager" (all but Arsenal - so far - have tried that one); then the clubs and pundits went quiet; NOW some of the pundits are realising what we knew all along: the LANDSCAPE has changed in the Prem, every game is tough now as every side has some great players, and the old regime of being able to identify the top 5 season after boring season has GONE FOREVER...

So, needless to say, they are now SHITTING THEIR PANTS and looking for a trick shot to get the gold without running the race.

I say what I've said a few times lately: You still need a following wind and a bit of luck to tip over Arsenal and Man City, but it's certainly not impossible.

Man Utd, Chelsea, and (definitely) Liverpool? Who fears them any more? Why should they be in any competition that they are unable to qualify for? You can't say "History dictates..." because that would be a case for Sheffield Wednesday / Huddersfield and Uncle Tom Cobbley and all..!

If they want to fuck off and do 'exhibition tournaments'... fine, fuck off and do it, BUT the Prem and the FA Cup and the CL are competitions that you have to QUALIFY for.

If you don't qualify, you ain't in it. TOUGH SHIT.

Re: Champions League does not need likes of Leicester, says US sports executive
Wow what an ignorant, arrogant twat. I can almost hear him saying "Ly-chester".

Does he honestly think Mancester United have given anything to the world of football? Their name might be prominent in the game's history - you can't really say the same for Chelsea - but all they've done along the way is take the best players from everyone else and pocket most of the money, and we should all be grateful!

If I was a fan of the Champions League (and I won't be until we're in it) I'd feel cheated if the best teams - e.g Leicester this year - weren't included.

Re: Champions League does not need likes of Leicester, says US sports executive
With a bit of luck Chelsea, Arsenal, Man Utd & City (& Liverpool) will all fuck off to the USA and start playing soccer over there shortly.... that's the most likely outcome surely... that's were their owners are and their investors.

Within 12 months they would not be missed (other than by their own fans).

Re: Champions League does not need likes of Leicester, says US sports executive
Remember the thread I started a few days ago? Barcelona president saying "Why not have wildcard entries into CL for big clubs when they fail to qualify, like tennis players get.....why not?"

This is part of the same snidey scheme to float the idea out out there, and try to manurfacture consent to go ahead with it. Same dodgy scheme that recent meeting between a few big clubs was about.

It is almost certainly down to the hard reality of seeing the likes of Leicester do so well, and Chelsea and Man U doing so poorly. It has scared the shit out of "investors" who want a guaranteed return on their investments and don't like the possibility of true sport excluding them from the gravy train if the sport doesn't go so well for them.

If they try to go ahead with this, I would hope football fans would put aside their differances and seriously unite and fight it all the way.

The very idea is obscene and it's hard to believe they could seriously consider it, but they obviously are, and have some muscle behind them'.

Fuck them sideways, backwards and back to front.

Cunts!

Has it never occurred to you that a 'plague on all your houses' vote may not be the exclusive preserve of the thick?

Re: Champions League does not need likes of Leicester, says US sports executive
This is not only the yanks idea.

ManC, ManU, Chel, Arse, and pool are in discussion to make a super league.

Why? Obvious, that are being challenged. They fear for their income. They fear for their positions.

Let them take their fuckng shit teams in to a closed league. That will make the end of them!

Don't matter what it needs. It's what it's getting. That's how sport works.

Start dicking about with it and you might as well put on plays and ballet.
